Abhay and Priyanshu spearhead team Little Brothers to win CJKS Premier Division League 2024

Little Brothers won CJKS Premier Division Chess League 2024 scoring 15/18. They finished a full point ahead of the runner-up, Kwality Sports Club 14/18. Chattogram Mohammedan Sporting Club Bluss finished third scoring 12/18. The winner, Little Brothers suffered sole match loss against Brothers Union in Round 4. Abhay Bandewar and Priyanshu Barua were the top scorers for the winning team. They scored 7/9 and 6.5/9 each to gain 20.4 and 28.6 Elo rating points. Shivansh Tiwari scored an unbeaten 7/9 and increased his rating by 49 points. He played for the eventual second runner-up team - CMSCB. Saurabh Choubey was the highest gainer among Indians. A total of 52 players including an IM represented ten teams from various parts of Bangladesh. There were five players from India. The ten team Round-Robin tournament was organized by Chess Committee, Chattogram Jela Krira Sangstha from 16th to 22nd May 2024 at CJKS Convention Hall in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The time control was 90 minutes 30 seconds increment per move starting from move no.1
